More Free-Form Bowls

Well, the fun is continuing.  I just love the "funkiness" and uniqueness of each of these bowls.  No way for any two to be alike . . . just like us human beings.

Free-form Bowls

I'm having a great time making and glazing free-form bowls.  I just seem to be drawn to them . . . maybe because they're each inherently unique . . . and call out for their own glaze or glazes.  Just too much fun!

Berry Bowls

My friend, Dorotha Ekx, said she keeps one of these by her sink to rinse any number of things.   So I tried that, and wow -- is it handy.  Thanks, Dorotha!

By the way, another thanks to Dorotha for hosting the next Longmont-area pottery show -- on Saturday, December 1.

Handle-free Tea Mugs

Could also be used for measuring spoons, tooth brushes, pencil holders, artist brushes . . .

I'm loving experimenting with carving . . .

"Buttons" for thumb and finger to keep the heat away from your hand

Multi-use Pots

Although my camera has been "on sabbatical" for quite a while, I've been keeping busy at the pottery wheel. Here's a first installment of the past few months' "pottery produce".

These pieces range in size from about 5"x 3" to 9"x 6".  They can be used in the kitchen for dips, sauces, for baking . . . or anywhere in the house to hold items such as mail, pens & pencils . . ..  I keep a small one by my bed to hold my phone and eye glasses.

Some summer fun
