Multi-use Pots

Although my camera has been "on sabbatical" for quite a while, I've been keeping busy at the pottery wheel. Here's a first installment of the past few months' "pottery produce".

These pieces range in size from about 5"x 3" to 9"x 6".  They can be used in the kitchen for dips, sauces, for baking . . . or anywhere in the house to hold items such as mail, pens & pencils . . ..  I keep a small one by my bed to hold my phone and eye glasses.

Canister Set

The 38th Annual Parkview Fine Arts Festival in Aurora (Colorado) was the first juried event of which I've been a part.  

Many thanks to my son, Pete, who not only helped with the hard work of set-up and tear-down, but also with arranging the display.

And pretty exciting to receive an "Honorable Mention".  (Can I mention that?....honorably..?)

Mugs

I love making mugs.  Not sure why.  Maybe because making coffee and tea are about the only things I do well in the kitchen.  :-)

This glaze combination is a new favorite of mine.

My first try at a teapot.  The amazing thing is -- it even pours!
